As a mother of a United States
Marine who served two tours of duty in Iraq, I understand the issues military personnel and their families face adjusting
to deployments or upon returning from a war zone and reintegrating into civilian and family life.
I have experienced the full
range of emotions when our son left for boot camp, then the stress when preparing for him to deploy, the sadness as we watched him grieve the loss of his brothers in arms, and the joy when he returned
home safely.
My objective is to provide
a safe place for you to discuss your experiences, express your feelings, develop new ways to cope with your feelings and adapt
to changes during the period of readjustment.
I am particularly sensitive
to those who suffer from PTSD after combat and I treat trauma using various methods.
Whether you are active duty,
scheduled for deployment, returning from a war zone, a family member, or parents as your child leaves for boot camp, I’d
be honored to work with you.
