Millions of children struggle in school daily
because of differences in learning. Specific problems can be difficult to pinpoint,
and the long-term effects hard to predict. Struggling children are often misunderstood by the adult world.
ADHD, ADD, Dyslexia
A student’s attention
can be weak because he was born with an inability to focus or concentrate for long periods of time, or because of an inability
to understand what’s going on or being said in class. Labeling your child ADD, ADHD or Dyslexic does not help
us know the cause of his/her attention problems.
“Your child is more than a label. I choose to use a language that
explains how students currently learn and what they can do to improve their learning.”
Why
Another Assessment?
Intelligence is made up of
multiple abilities beginning at birth and continuing through life. Any inability
to learn is an undeveloped ability for learning. Each person’s mind is different with unique patterns of strengths
and weaknesses.
A good assessment will define
your child’s strengths and any undeveloped abilities necessary for learning. Each
child’s profile is unique and training to develop the underlying learning abilities needs to be customized instead of
a “one size fits all” approach.
I have taken what I believe
to be the best methods from a variety of sources and created a program to develop learning skills in children and teens.
- Students learn about their own unique learning abilities and become more enthusiastic about learning and
school.
- Parents learn how to recognize, tolerate, respect and manage your child’s individual differences
in behavior and learning.
- Families learn new skills that will reduce frustration, ensure greater success in school, build greater
self-confidence and self-esteem, and restore hope.
